Earl Lovelace was born in Toco, Trinidad, and has lived most of his life on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. His books include While Gods Are Falling, winner of the BP Independence Award, the Caribbean classic The Dragon Can't Dance, and Salt, which won the 1997 Commonwealth Writers Prize. For Is Just a Movie, he has won the Grand Prize for Caribbean Literature by the Regional Council of Guadeloupe.
Elizabeth Nunez immigrated to the US from Trinidad after completing secondary school at St Joseph's Convent in Port of Spain. She received her PhD in English from New York University. In 2007, she was inducted into St. Joseph's Convent Hall of Excellence for her contributions to education and the literary arts. Dr. Nunez has had a long career as a professor of English literature and as a university administrator, leading to her appointment as Provost and Senior Vice President of Medgar Evers College, the City University of New York. She is currently Distinguished Professor of English at Hunter College, the City University of New York. Copies of Elizabeth Nunez's novels will be available for sale.
